Tassajara Hot Springs is a wide collection of natural hot springs nearby Ventana Wilderness within the Los Padres National Forest in Monterey County, California, United States.  Tassajara Hot Springs is well-known as a Buddhist Monastery that is open for visitors every summer. One can discover and explore the Zen teachings, be a part of their meditation and guest lectures, go on hiking, relax under the beautiful flora and fauna, and of course the hot springs.

The Esselen people earlier enjoyed its restorative hot spring waters. After that, Tassajara painted a colorful history in its way. The monastery was founded in 1966 by Shunryu Suzuki. Recently, it is observed that during winters, Tassajara devotes itself enough for the practice and then welcomes visitors in the summers to relax, refresh, rejuvenate, and clear their minds.

Clothing is optional here. Only the service animals are allowed here. No pet animals are given entry along with the visitors. Once you enter Tassajara, there is no access to the internet and cell phones. Everyone needs to remove their shoes while doing meditation here. The hot springs are currently owned by the San Francisco Zen
